FERN INGERSOLL

Fern Ingersoll, one-time director of the "Women in Journalism" oral history project, has worked in the field of oral history since the early sixties and has been a member of numerous interviewer teams. She has directed projects focused on women who served in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and on the people who headed divisions in the first years of the Department of Education. She also has interviewed women who worked for suffrage, men who started the national forests in the United States, and Southeast Asians from many walks of life. She has a B.A. from Wellesley College and an M.A. from Catholic University.
